About the Practice

At the surgery we have a complete Primary Health Care team consisting of Doctors, Practice Nurses, District Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Midwives, Health Visitors, Pharmacy Technicians, Counsellors and Dieticians. The Health Care team is itself supported by a dedicated team of Secretarial, Reception based and Administration staff.

Bollington Medical Centre covers a large area of Eastern Cheshire from Bollington to Adlington, Prestbury, Tytherington, Rainow, Kerridge and Pott Shrigley.

The surgery aims to provide many specialist clinics to aid most health care problems. Minor surgery, womens’ health clinics, joint injections, child health and phlebotomy are all offered amongst other clinics. Please see the 'Clinics & Services' tab for more information, or ask at reception.

Parking is provided within the surgery grounds with additional parking on Wellington Road, for 2 hours.

Disabled access.

All members of the Health Care Team can be seen on the ground floor of the practice. Please inform the practice when booking an appointment of any access needs you may have to prevent delay to your appointment.

Emergency Cover

Emergency Cover is 6.30pm to 8.00am on weekdays, at weekends from 6.30pm Friday to 8.00am Monday and provided by the local GP Out Of Hours Service.

To obtain medical advice out of normal surgery hours please ring the Out of Hours Centre on 502999 This is staffed by a nursing sister and local GPs. It is situated next to the Accident and Emergency Centre at Macclesfield District General Hospital.

Appointments

Some of our surgeries/appointments will be held at Waters Green Medical Centre you will be advised at the time of booking.

Parking

During this time the car park will be closed for all Staff. Parking for patients will be limited to St Gregory's Church and on the roadside (2 hour limit). The main car park will be reserved for disabled patients.

Temporary Residents

Please note that temporary residents should ideally attend their own GP or private clinic at Waters Green for Travel Vaccines. We are able to accept temporary residents on an emergency basis only.

Blood Results

Please be advised that we will only contact you with results if they are not normal.

Physiotherapy

Patients have to be referred by their GP for this Service for NHS treatment. Private appointments are available most days.

Patient Forum

On the back of new NHS regulations we are having to review our Patient Participation Group (PPG) format. An update will be on the web site shortly.

Before asking about this please put olive oil in your ears for at least two weeks.
