Community Nurses

The District Nursing office is situated in The Coach House at Bollington Medical Centre.
The District Nursing Service consists of: -
3 District Nursing Sisters (2 P/T, 1 F/T)
1 Health Care Assistant

They offer a range of nursing services and advice and are available between 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week and can be contacted via the surgery.
The District Nursing Service is also available 6pm – 8am.

District Nurses provide professional care to meet the needs of people who are housebound or who require treatment which is better administered within the home environment.

Health Visitors

The 2 part-time Health Visitors are based in the Coach House within the Medical Centre Grounds. The Health Visitors are available to provide advice and make appointments on 572376 between the hours of 9am-12midday. They are qualified registered Nurses with additional training and experience in child health and development, and health promotion and education.
They undertake clinics in: -
- Child Development and assessment
- Immunisation
- Parent Craft
- Sleep Management
- Health Advice

They also provide home visiting to families with children under 5 years of age to support and advise on health related issues.

Children aged 4 and under need to be registered with the health visitors. To arrange an appointment ring 572376 between 9-10am or 4-5pm Monday to Thursday.

School age children are offered health advice and support in schools, clinics and the home by the School Health Service - Tel: 01625 665573

Appointments

Some of our surgeries/appointments will be held at Waters Green Medical Centre you will be advised at the time of booking.

Parking

During this time the car park will be closed for all Staff. Parking for patients will be limited to St Gregory's Church and on the roadside (2 hour limit). The main car park will be reserved for disabled patients.

Temporary Residents

Please note that temporary residents should ideally attend their own GP or private clinic at Waters Green for Travel Vaccines. We are able to accept temporary residents on an emergency basis only.

Blood Results

Please be advised that we will only contact you with results if they are not normal.

Physiotherapy

Patients have to be referred by their GP for this Service for NHS treatment. Private appointments are available most days. 

Patient Forum

On the back of new NHS regulations we are having to review our Patient Participation Group (PPG) format. An update will be on the web site shortly.

Before asking about this please put olive oil in your ears for at least two weeks.
